Wrinkly Computing is a new concept in computing support especially for the older home PC user.

Having spent time as a volunteer tutor with Age Concern in St Helens, Ian Hartley, the owner, realised there was a need for straight forward, common sense help and support for older people. Many Older People are keen to embrace computing but can find it a bit over-powering and jargon filled.

Most courses offer a one-size-fits-all solution where everyone does the same thing at the same time. If you get lost, or miss a week, it is so easy to lose interest and think you can't do it.

Wrinkly Computing is different.

By using a concept of learning by example, working at your own pace in your own home and making mistakes without feeling foolish you will be surprised how your confidence builds. Computers aren't difficult, they are different.

You will learn how to do the things that you want to do with your computer in your own home... how to send a photo by email; how to write a letter or use a spreadsheet; how to find and book a holiday on the Internet; how to see and talk to your family in Australia; how to shop safely on the Internet... the list is endless, because you write the list. After each session you will receive a personalised set of step by step instructions covering the key points (just in case you forget!).

One to One Tutoring - £15 per session.
Includes custom written step by step instructions produced after
the session allowing the client to carry out tasks covered in the session.
Sessions last between 1 – 1.5 hours

System Problems/Configuration changes – From £20
Price to be agreed after initial diagnosis. Where a solution is recommended
but not accepted a consultation fee of £15 may be charged. Where a price is
agreed but a fix cannot be achieved there will be no charge (no fix, no fee).
